Prayer to St. Joseph / Oratio ad Sanctum Iosephum

This prayer was written by Leo XIII and attached to his Encyclical, Quamquam Pluries. It has been recommended to be included at the end of the Rosary, especially during the month of October.

Amen.

To thee, O Blessed Joseph, we have recourse in our tribulations, and while imploring the aid of thy most holy Spouse, we confidently invoke thy patronage also. By that love which united thee to the Immaculate Virgin, Mother of God, and by the fatherly affection with which thou didst embrace the Infant Jesus, we humbly beseech thee graciously to regard the inheritance which Jesus Christ purchased with His Blood and to help us in our necessities, by thy powerful intercession.

Protect, O most provident Guardian of the Holy Family, the chosen children of Jesus Christ; ward off from us, O most loving Father, all taint of error and corruption; graciously assist us from Heaven, O most powerful protector, in our struggle with the powers of darkness; and as thou didst once rescue the Child Jesus from imminent peril to His life, so now defend the Holy Church of God from the snares of her enemies and from all adversity.

Shield each one of us with thy unceasing patronage that, imitating thy example and supported by thy aid, we may be enabled to live a good life, die a holy death, and secure everlasting happiness in Heaven. Amen.

Pray for Priests

"When people wish to destroy religion, they begin by attacking the priest, because where there is no longer any priest there is no sacrifice, and where there is no longer any sacrifice there is no religion."

--St. John Vianney

Sermon by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, August 22, 1976

′′ We will then go into catacombs, we will go anywhere, but we will continue to believe; we will not abandon our faith. We will be persecuted many, others were persecuted before us for their faith. We will not be the first, but we will at least give honor to our Lord to be his faithful, not to abandon him, not to betray him. This is what we need to do."

All the civil governments will have one and the same plan...

“All the civil governments will have one and the same plan, which will be to abolish and do away with every religious principal to make way for materialism, atheism, spiritualism and vice of all kinds."

Another Nazareth

“In every bride the Church sees a potential Madonna, who will mother God’s little ones against her heart. In every bridegroom it sees another Joseph. And when together the young couple build their little home, the Church prays that it will become another Nazareth.”

Fridolin Assists with the Holy Mass (1833)

Fridolin Assists with the Holy Mass by Peter Fendi (Austrian, 1796 - 1842)

This watercolor illustrates a scene from "The Way to the Forge," a poem by Friedrich Schiller (1759 - 1805). Fridolin, a young page, is threatened with death by a villainous rival. On the way to an iron forge whose smiths have been ordered to throw him into the furnace, he stops at a country church and assists the priest in performing the Mass--a deed that saves his life.

Return of the NoNo Ordo

There are a small number of shepherds who teach and maintain the true Catholic faith. Then there are the many hirelings with no passion for speaking the true Gospel but would rather talk about sports, crack jokes, and show videos during homilies. The difference is quite clear between the shepherds and the hired help. Do yourself and your family a favor and don't go the NoNo Ordo.

Continuation ☩ of the Holy Gospel according to John - John 10:11-16

At that time Jesus said to the Pharisees: I am the good Shepherd. The good Shepherd giveth his life for his sheep. But the hireling, and he that is not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming and leaveth the sheep and flieth: and the wolf catcheth and scattereth the sheep: and the hireling flieth, because he is a hireling, and he hath no care for the sheep. I am the good Shepherd: and I know Mine, and Mine know Me, as the Father knoweth Me, and I know the Father: and I lay down My life for My sheep. And other sheep I have that are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear My voice, and there shall be one fold and one shepherd.

Catholicism vs. the Novus Ordo religion

Fr. Desposito lays out the basic tenets of the Roman Catholic religion, beginning with the nature of Faith and the so-called motives of credibility, which constitute the rational foundation of the Faith and so demonstrate that it is reasonable to believe. Father also explains the nature and purpose of the Church, how she teaches, and how Catholics must adhere to her doctrine.

Saint Joseph, Terror of Demons, Pray for us

Saint Joseph, Terror of Demons, cast your solemn gaze upon the devil and all his minions, and protect us with your mighty staff. You fled through the night to avoid the devil's wicked designs; now with the power of God, smite the demons as they flee from you! Grant special protection, we pray, for children, fathers, families, priests, religious and the dying. By God's grace, no demon dares approach while you are near, so we beg of you, always be near to us! Amen

Why should you wear a chapel veil?
